Evocatively abstract yet relatable and welcoming, an embrace of vivid color, collage-like graphics, and bold, attention demanding composition. These are the carpets of BLOCKS AND THINGS. Either as mood and space defining centerpiece or complementary adornment to interiors unafraid of statement, the strong forms and variegated nuances of color strike a delightful balance between whimsy and the sublime. Elevated by a subtle woollen sheen and made comforting by the plushness of our Kotana Plus construction, they offer a refined evolution whose provenance is witnessed by delicate horizontal lines of weaving; an artifact of Tibetan ancestry. Sophisticated and modern, and anything but demure with their visually assertive palettes redolent of both the natural world and iconic eras of design, the carpets of BLOCKS AND THINGS offer a confident clean aesthetic uncluttered by unnecessary embellishment.
Inspired by a brutalist facade, the strong geometric pattern of Monolith Light Blue is rendered in a grey with a green undertone, buttery yellow, aqua, ebony with an unexpected accent in lilac. Monolith Light Blue, hand knotted in 100% Tibetan wool, is available in our standard room sizes; custom sizes, runners, squares and rounds available. Our rugs are normally available for delivery within 10 to 90 days. Contact us or Request a Quote for timing on the rug and size of your choice.

Custom rugs, trade pricing, exclusive product, inspired designs. This is how we support designers and their projects. Register here, and then choose to work online or with a showroom. Either way you’ll always receive our special service and support.
Our rugs are designed and photographed in the 8x10 size. If you are considering any other size, the design and/or scale will vary from this standard. Please reach out to our rug experts if you would like more information on a particular design in a specific size.
Our extremely handmade rugs may be of a slightly different size (up to 3 inches). This is due to the beautiful hand-knotted and hand-tufted nature of our rugs.
Vacuum regularly. Loose threads should be trimmed with a scissor (do not pull!). Rug protectors are recommended. If your new rug is exposed to the sun, it is a good idea to rotate regularly to prevent uneven wear. Blot spills with a clean towel (white is best). Cleaning the entire rug should be handled by a professional rug cleaning service.

Rug pads protect the foundation of your hand knotted rug from wear and dirt, and help to preserve the value of your area rug investment. A rug pad helps your rug to lay flat, and helps to prevent slip and trip hazards from buckles in the rug. Rug pads are nonreturnable.
